New Brothers

Mommy said I am too spoiled. She said I threw a fit yesterday when daddy went to walk cousin Chestnut without saying hi to me first. She took a video as evidence. I don't see me throwing a tantrum do you?

Since I am being a brat (so she says)she and daddy when and got me two brothers. Their names are Oscar and Felix. They are oscar fish.
I am not sure I am gonna like these brothers. They don't like they would be a lot of fun to play with.

i think your new brothers wud be fun to play with if you cud just get them out of that big water bucket. maybe if you threw them around the back yard they wud run back to you so you cud throw them again.

that wud be such a fun game! like playing fech and you dont even hafta run!

Hey Beas! I don't think you threw a tantrum either! Well, maybe a little tantrum! LOL And give those fishy brothers a chance - you might like to play with them after all.

Perhaps they would make good snacks instead...?

Oh my fishys!! We are so jealous! Our mommy and daddy have talked about getting fish before but they worried we would find a way INTO the tank and eat the fishys!!

Oh dear. That tank is way, waaaay too small even for one oscar. Two are going to get sick, fight each other and die in pretty short shrift. One Oscar needs 50-60 gallons (minimum) which that tank most certainly isn't, and two need *at least* 50% more again, and those two are not yet fully grown. Ideally, two oscars with some growing left to do should be in a 100 gallon tank. Just looking at the quality of the water and how depressed they look says a lot already. Please, you're clearly a pet lover, and fish are no less important than dogs, cat and birds. If you don't have room for a bigger tank, think about rehoming them with someone who can. They're otherwise wonderful fish. As someone said, they're like dogs in a tank - personable, funny, quirky, but they're prone to 'hole in the head' when their living conditions aren't up to scratch and if those water quality and tank size issues are not sorted out, they'll probably be dead in a matter of weeks from now, if not less.
